Who We Are?

Drop-in skill sessions are a fun and flexible way to keep your child engaged in hockey during the summer.

Why Drop-ins vs a camp or league?

We were looking to create a high quality, inexpensive but convenient program from young skaters in St. Paul to get on the ice during the summer. No need to commit to multiple weeks (although purchasing a pack is less expensive) and you can sign up day of (assuming there is space).

Coaches

Daniel Esrig

Dan started SPS in 2024 and is in his third year helping to run the Saints' 8U Girls hockey program. Prior to that, he spent several years coaching with Delaney Hockey and Evanston Youth Hockey in the Chicago suburbs. He currently lives in St. Paul with his two young children—Shoshi (8U) and Emmett (4)—who both love hockey.

Dan started the summer skills program to create more opportunities for kids to improve their skating fundamentals, which are key to building confidence, improving performance, and developing a lifelong love for the game throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

Assistant Coaches:

Our assistant coaches are made up of both local high school and college hockey players that want to give back to their community and engage with younger hockey players along with other Saints coaches. Our assistant coaches are paid and have a lot to offer as both instructors and role models to our participants.
